The Dane will finish the season alongside Mick Schumacher and has also signed a contract for several seasons with the American racing stable. Magnussen started 119 times during a GP in the premier class of motorsport. On his debut, he immediately took the podium.
“It was not a difficult decision,” said team boss Günther Steiner. “We know what Kevin can do and have confidence in him. Moreover, he is available immediately.” The intention is that Magnussen will be in action in Bahrain in the coming days on the test days.

He started his F1 career at McLaren before driving for Haas via Renault in 2017. He drove for that until 2020.
Magnussen would drive the IMSA Championship for the Chip Ganassi Racing team this season and the Hypercar project for Peugeot. Both contracts have been canceled with immediate effect.
