An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.6 was registered off the coast of the Philippine island of Mindanao. This is reported by the United States Geological Survey (USGS). The American National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) warns of a tsunami in the Philippines, Indonesia, Palau and Malaysia.

The quake’s epicenter was at a depth of 64 kilometers, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center, about 19 kilometers northeast of the municipality of Tagbina, where about 10,600 people live.
Several seismological centers warn that tsunami waves could reach a height of 1 to 3 meters on the Philippine coasts. The Japanese Seismological Center has also issued a tsunami warning for its own coastal areas.
