Richard Douma has won the national title in the 5000 meters. The 29-year-old Zaankanter came after 14:03.04 minutes over the finish. It was the first time that Douma participated in this part of the Dutch Athletics Championships.
The silver went to Abdirahman Mohamed, who crossed the line after 14:04.27 minutes. Filmon Tesfu completed the podium with the men.
In the women’s race, Diane van Es won the 5 kilometers with a large distance (15:48.38). Marcella Herzog (16:12,39) and Jennifer Gulikers (16:17,89) couldn’t keep up with her.
