Magath encourages VfB Stuttgart

Former Bundesliga coach Felix Magath believes that VfB Stuttgart will remain in the league.

Under the new coach Sebastian Hoeneß, the team seems “more united”, said the former VfB coach of the Stuttgarter Zeitung / Nachrichten: “This unity is transmitted, the team is able to play football more successfully again. They are doing it now, and I think VfB will stay in the league.”

Hoeneß succeeded the hapless Bruno Labbadia at VfB in early April, and since then the Stuttgart team has been unbeaten in four league games. Under Labbadia, the team had only won one win in eleven league games.

Nevertheless, the ex-coach deserves a share of the recent increase in performance. “Without knowing his training work, I’m convinced that his preparation in the winter helped VfB to be physically able to win games in the final stages,” said Magath.
