Gossip about the ‘hot tub incident’
Both Joep and Kim do not see a relationship, let alone a marriage, with their partners Caroline and Antoine. To make the best of it during the couples weekend in the dunes, they decide to take a bubble bath together at the end of the evening. That’s where they have the most fun.
But soon there is some commotion. Because why do the two of them sit together in the jacuzzi until the wee hours? Joep and Kim deny that anything has happened, but the other candidates still think it’s a crazy situation and there is a lot of gossip about it in the penultimate episode. Libelle’s Chanan had not expected otherwise. “Put them in a bubble bath and drama will ensue anyway,” she writes in her MAFSblog.
Just chatting
On Show news Kim tells exactly what happened. “I think it’s weird that it’s magnified like that, because nothing happened,” she says. “In fact, the production was just chatting next to us. At a certain point it went away and then we lived there for a while.” The two briefly discussed each other’s experiences. “And then we went out again.”
Error of production
According to her, it is now pretended that they spent hours together in the hot tub. “But that is not the case at all.” The next morning, she says, the production pushed everyone to say something about it. “They also asked, ‘Kim sit down with Caroline and talk about it.’ I should have said ‘no’ to that, because nothing happened.” If it was that exciting, she said they would have filmed it.
