I don’t want to start again about Arjan and Maurice, but yes… they are the only couple in this season of Married at first sight about which there is something exciting to report. Sander and Astrid are having a great time on their honeymoon (how sweet they looked together on that trike) Astleigh and Rowan ‘both already feel caterpillars’, Joep and Caroline are just barely eating each other (he already calls her Caro!) and Sonny and Dylan seem completely satisfied just after the ceremony.
Frustrating
Yes, and then you have Arjan and Maurice. I just don’t understand where this went wrong. I don’t find it entertaining or funny either, I find it frustrating. Just imagine how Carlo Boszhard felt next to Arjan on the couch. Arjan does not have a clear explanation for his behaviour. “I almost said no too,” he said without batting an eyelid. I do not believe it. Did he learn something in the meantime that he didn’t like? Have his friends talked him out of it? Did his ex call?
Not scared man
Arjan says he knows himself all too well, but then you also know that you are not the right person to participate in this program? “I’m not a scared little man,” he said. But he really shows something different. If you are not afraid, you always give someone a chance. That’s what this program is all about. I do not trust it. Why? I don’t know that well. Sometimes your feeling says enough. Arjan promises to call Maurice, but you see that Carlo also has his reservations. And poor Maurice is just waiting on that terrace in Portugal. If Arjan still takes that flight, he has a lot to make up for. But I still think Maurice should finish the honeymoon solo.
New couple
Wait a minute, another new couple? I’m going to miss out on that for a while. Last week I already made a prediction because I thought we were there, that all couples were married. But now Kim and Antoine suddenly show up. Another reason why I think Arjan will decide to step out of the program. It’s not in the order of the program. While one couple went looking for the clothes for the wedding, you already got to know the next couple in the previous episodes. But now this new couple suddenly shows up after Sonny and Dylan’s wedding. Do you still get it? Not me. I suspect that this couple was added at the last minute because Arjan left the experiment early. Or I was wrong myself and mainly hoped that we were there now, but the chance is of course very small. We’ll know in a week. Make a bet?
