My prediction turned out to be true: Arjan has thrown in the towel. He was able to cry at the doctor’s. There he was understood. That’s good for him, because there are also a lot of people who don’t understand him at all. Maurice is – rightly – one of them. After Arjan broke up with him in a letter (cowardly), he called his best friend in tears. He didn’t cry because he was dumped (good for you, you deserve better!), but because he felt so bad that his parents had to go through this. That says enough, doesn’t it? Maurice is a good guy. I understand very well that he does not want Arjan’s friendship. #TeamMaurice. That’s not how you treat people. Fortunately, Maurice is going to tell him that to his face next week. And there awaits him a big surprise (spoiler!).
Points for Antoine
Do you wish the successors of Arjan and Maurice, better known as Antoine and Kim, a long and happy marriage? Not only because of the sad period Kim has gone through, but also because you see how much they are looking forward to it and how seriously they take it. Just the first gift Antoine gave his betrothed. No necklace or a nice picture frame, but a festival ticket and a tent. This has clearly been thought through. The first points for Antoine are in.
small steps
Joep and Caroline seem to love each other completely. They both couldn’t wait to see each other again in Crete. I don’t want to complain again, but I do it anyway: Joep has to dim a little bit. It’s very sweet how much he missed Caroline and how fondly he looked at her when they saw her again, but it all goes very quickly. I hope Caroline’s not-so-enthusiastic reaction to his plan to get a tattoo makes him think a bit. Little steps, little steps. But that could still turn out all right. We have all seen that Astrid managed to slow down her Sander a bit. She also has to teach Caroline that trick, then there is nothing to worry about.
Live happily ever after
The other couples chatter quietly on. Sander surprised his “delicious girlfriend” with a beautiful pearl necklace, Astleigh and Rowan have “pleasant contact” with each other, Sonny and Dylan already discussed who does and who does not have an emergency response certificate (you will need it) and the escape route to the McDonald’s. And they lived happily ever after… Surely one couple should be able to do that this season?!
