Now fans can breathe a sigh of relief. According to CNN, Madonna is back at her home in New York City.
According to an insider, she was taken from the hospital to her villa in a private ambulance on Thursday. “She’s fine,” the source continued to the US broadcaster.
It was only on Wednesday that her manager Guy Oseary announced that she appeared to be suffering from a serious bacterial infection. The situation was so dramatic, her family had even “prepared for the worst”.
According to Page Six, Madonna (64) was found unconscious last Saturday and then spent days in intensive care. She was even said to have been intubated for at least one night before the tube was removed.
Now it’s uphill again. “Her health is improving, but she is still receiving medical treatment. A full recovery is expected,” Oseary wrote on Instagram on Wednesday.
But Madonna still has to postpone the start of her upcoming tour. Now she has to regain her strength.
“At this point we have to pause all of their commitments, including touring,” Oseary said. “We will announce further details as soon as we know more, including a new start date for the tour and for postponed shows.”
