In a video on Instagram, the Queen of Pop shows herself dancing particularly exuberantly.
Pop icon Madonna is turning heads on Instagram after sharing a video from her son’s birthday party. David Banda turned 18 on Sunday (September 24th) and was given a lavish private party to mark the occasion – with numerous guests and dancers.
The video is a compilation of several clips from the evening. In many, the 65-year-old is shown dancing with her son and his friends and toasting with him at the end. The video description reads: “Happy birthday David Banda! Tribal name Senzangakona, descendant of the Ngoni and Zulu tribes! It’s hard to believe that almost 18 years have passed since we met you in Mchinji at the Home of Hope orphanage! Your name means ‘Tell the truth’! I can’t think of a better name for an artist! You are growing into a truly remarkable person! We are all so proud of you! You shine like the brightest star!”
Reactions to the party were varied. On the one hand, Madonna’s fans comment on Instagram that she seems so lively and young. “No matter how old Madonna is, she parties like a 20-year-old,” writes one user. But she also received criticism for her post. For example, one user noted that the celebration seemed more like a promo party for the singer than an event for her son.
