A singing legend Madonna’s, 65, had a tender moment during the Celebration tour when the artist spoke about the moment he came close to death. At the beginning of the summer, Madonna had to undergo intensive care due to a bacterial infection.

The artist said at his Belgium gig that while he was in the hospital, he thought about his mother Madonne Louise Cicconewho died in 1963 of breast cancer at the age of 30.

– I suddenly felt sympathy and empathy for my mother – how lonely she must have felt in the hospital when she knew she was going to die. And I got a second chance, the singer said, getting emotional.

– I am very grateful for that. I have to admit, I’m not feeling very well right now. But I can’t complain because I’m alive. Thank you to the creator for my children, you and your love and support. I really appreciate it, he continued, picking up his guitar at the same time.

Madonna also said during the concert that she considers it a miracle that she is currently performing for her fans.

– Less than four months ago I was unconscious in the hospital. People thought I might not make it. It’s a miracle that I’m here right now. God bless my mother, because she must have looked behind me and said, “it’s not time for you to go yet,” the star said.

Videos of the artist’s speech have spread to social media, such as the X application (formerly Twitter). Madonna’s story has made many of her fans sensitive and admire the mental strength of the star.

– Beautifully said.

– I’m literally crying.

– How lucky we are that our queen is back. I didn’t realize how serious it was. Thank you for staying strong and still wanting to bring joy to the world.

The tour had to be postponed due to the singer’s illness. The seven-month long tour includes 78 concerts around the world. A close circle has told in October that the artist has a medical team with him on tour, which includes a doctor and three physiotherapists.
