Despite an extra ‘festival day’, the 3,600 available tickets for next weekend were sold out in no time. The eleven participating eateries also compete for the title of the very best item. Although one big name is missing from the bill, Madam Kroket, who is known throughout Flanders: “I only want to participate if the croquette has to be prepared from start to finish in front of the jury. That seems to me to be the only correct system.”
