Macy Gray calls in sick on stage for the Berlin concert

Sad evening for Macy Gray and her fans: The singer canceled a concert in Berlin on Monday evening. Actually everything was clear and prepared for the gig at the Admiralspalast. 900 spectators were looking forward to the new songs from Gray’s album “The Reset” and also her band The California Jet Club.

But when the Grammy winner still didn’t show up an hour after the end of the support gig, some in the hall became impatient and acknowledged the unpleasant situation with whistles and boos.

Finally, Gray came on stage, wrapped in a hoodie and with the hood pulled low over his forehead, and asked the audience for forgiveness. The 56-year-old said contritely that she was ill and couldn’t perform.
