Tijdens zijn bezoek aan Nederland heeft de Franse President Emmanuel Macron zijn oproep tot meer “Europese soevereiniteit” herhaald. Volgens hebben de coronapandemie en de oorlog in Oekraïne de trend naar soevereiniteit versneld.
Tijdens een toespraak in Den Haag zei the Franse president dat de coronapandemie en de oorlog in Oekraïne duidelijk hebben gemaakt dat Europe de afhankelijkheden must beperken om de own identiteit te knnen keep. “Dat betekent dat we our partners can kiezen and our own pilot determination can vormgeven, in plaats van maar een getuige te zijn van the dramatic evolutie van deze wereld”, zei hij.
