In the early evening, the Edeka supermarket on Ritterstrasse in Berlin Kreuzberg was attacked by several people.
According to initial police findings, there was a physical altercation with a security guard in the market on Ritterstrasse, who was injured. According to BZ information, the perpetrators were armed with machetes and knives.
The security guard was taken to a hospital, according to police. An employee of the market also sought medical treatment.
The perpetrator or perpetrators are said to have made loot and then fled in an unknown direction. According to local residents, it was not the first raid on the supermarket.
