Two people dead, two seriously injured – amok drama at lunchtime in Ludwigshafen!
At around 12:15 p.m., a dispute escalated on the street in the Oggersheim district. According to initial findings, a 25-year-old Somali freaked out and attacked two men (20, 35) with a gun after the argument.
Several witnesses described the weapon as a machete! According to BZ information, the second victim is said to have rushed to help the first. Both died from their stab and cut injuries.

Immediately after the crime, the armed attacker ran across a residential area, past shops and a kindergarten. In a drugstore 500 meters away, the alleged killer stabbed another victim (27), seriously injuring the man.
When the police caught the knifeman in the drugstore, he wanted to flee. He was shot and collapsed with serious injuries.
The Somali and his surviving victim were taken to the hospital, neither of which are said to be life-threatening. “The cruel act fills me with great horror,” said Ludwigshafen Mayor Jutta Steinruck (SPD).
It is unclear whether the perpetrator and the victim knew each other. Likewise, the background and motive of the insanity. “We are investigating in all directions,” said a police spokeswoman.
