The Maastricht resident was hit and arrested on the Ubbergseweg in Nijmegen, reports The Gelderlander Tuesday evening.

The man fled around noon after the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee wanted to stop him for antisocial driving. This happened on the A73 near Heumen. But the man ran off at high speed in and around Nijmegen.
‘Perilous’
About 20 officers, several police cars and a helicopter came into action to trap the man after 20 minutes. The police spokesperson calls the incident at De Gelderlander ‘life-threatening’. The Limburger may have been under the influence.
The man has yet to be questioned. It is not yet clear what he is suspected of.
