Maarten van Rossem finds it laughable that Wybren van Haga has submitted a number of parliamentary questions about him. “This shows that he is a very bad MP,” he responds.
Member of Parliament Wybren van Haga believes that Maarten van Rossem should be taken off the TV because of ‘violent remarks’ in De Slimste Mens. He is referring to Maarten’s tirade about the many non-news about celebrities. “As far as I’m concerned, they’ll shoot Johnny Depp tomorrow and bury him in an anonymous place,” he shouted.
Martin of the tube?
You can’t keep someone like that at the NPO, Wybren thinks. “PvdA mastodon Maarten van Rossem is allowed to cross the line time and again. Anti-farmer, anti-PVV and anti-everything that is not left-wing,” he grumbles Subway.
He says he is ‘completely done’ with public broadcasting. “That while those farmers and voters for parties that do not like Van Rossem have to pay through taxes to make the statements of the probably heavily paid Van Rossem possible. This left-wing activist has to go off the air.”
‘Bad Member of Parliament’
Wybren has parliamentary questions submitted and Maarten thinks that is ridiculous. “This shows that he is a very bad Member of Parliament, because I would be surprised if there was a response at all,” the Smartest Man jury member responds in his own podcast.
He continues: “He does that for his supporters, that is as clear as a log. Van Haga is a split from Thierry Baudet’s mad club, which also gives us food for thought. He already sees the mood for the next election. Then he is relatively hopeless.”
Compliment
Maarten does not feel bad about it. “For someone like me, it is a huge compliment that Van Haga asks questions about you in the House. Imagine if he had said he thinks I’m a fine figure, then I should be ashamed of myself.”
What does Maarten think about Wybren being so angry about his Johnny Depp statement? “That’s because he completely misinterpreted what I said. He did that, of course, completely consciously. I didn’t call for shooting Johnny Depp in the head at all, as is apparently being suggested.”
That Wybren has no chance, Maarten concludes. “Van Haga has nothing to say about the content of public television.”
