Maarten van Rossem celebrates 80th birthday with book about his life | show

Historian Maarten van Rossem celebrates his eightieth birthday in October with the publication of a book about his life. In the book From Rossem analyzes the juror of The smartest person in a number of conversations his emergence and his role in the media. The presale of the book starts Thursday, publisher Vesper Publishing has announced.

For the book, journalist Laurens Bluekens spoke with the historian for about 30 hours. In these conversations, Van Rossem reflected on his breakthrough, his image and death, among other things. Vesper Publishing promises ‘Maarten’s most candid character sketch ever’.

From Rossem appears on September 28. The American expert has had a prominent presence in the Dutch media for decades. He joins talk shows, made television programs with his sister and brother and publishes his own magazine, Maarten! The Utrecht scientist also gives lectures, writes columns and makes podcasts.
