Rock legend Gary Rossington has died at the age of 71.

Lynyrd Skynyrd band guitarist Gary Rossington is dead. The musician, who died at the age of 71, was the last of the band’s founding members who still played in the band. The matter was reported on the band’s official Facebook page.
– It is with a heavy heart that we announce that our brother, friend, family member, songwriter and guitarist Gary Rossington has passed away.
The man’s cause of death has not been made public so far. However, he is said to have suffered from numerous heart diseases, which in 2021 took him urgently to the hospital in the middle of the band’s tour.
During his life, Rossington even survived a plane crash in which the band perished Ronnie Van Zant and Steve Gaines. In the same Turma, two background singers were also killed Cassie and Steve Gaines.
Lynyrd Skynyrd’s most famous songs include, among others Free Bird and Sweet Home Alabama.
