Lynn from All of Holland bakes
The 26-year-old Lynn has had a lot on her plate lately. She is pregnant, in the middle of a renovation, runs their own pig farm with her partner, works in her parents’ fish stall and rides a horse at competition level. And on top of that came her participation in All of Holland bakes† Something she almost thanked for, she now reveals on the site of All of Holland bakes: “I considered not doing it, because it would be a bit much at the time. But I didn’t want to cancel it either, this is a once in a lifetime-opportunity!”
Lynn about HHB exit
Viewers are not sorry that Lynn had to leave the baking tent in the third episode, but neither herself. “I was actually two days a week short of preparing for All of Holland bakes† As unfortunate as it was, it was good that I got out. I wouldn’t know how I would have done it all if I had continued.” She especially found the technical assignments a challenge. “That was really not for me, I have dyslexia and you are under time pressure.” Yet she would do it all over again. “I will come back to the tent with love.”
Keep the whipped cream thief
Finally, a word about her whipped cream pie in episode one. What went wrong there? “The whipped cream cake I made in the first episode went very well, but was missing half a liter of whipped cream,” says Lynn. “Someone took it from me.” She also tells who that whipped cream thief was: Yannis. “He hadn’t taken it from me consciously at all, but he still needed something himself and we only had fifteen minutes to go. That’s how things go, I had to row with what I had.”
Biggest misfire
Lynn is most proud of her croquette sandwiches in André van Duin’s birthday special. Her flower cake in the episode that ultimately marked her exit is her biggest misfire. “I can make very beautiful cakes, but in terms of preparation I did not manage to put down what I wanted. That was really my stumbling block.”
