LVMH: Avatar unveils Innovation Award participants

French luxury goods group LVMH has announced the 21 startups that will take part in this year’s LVMH Lab. The event will take place during the Viva Technology exhibition from June 15th to 18th.

The selected companies also have the chance to win this year’s LVMH Innovation Award, which is being presented for the sixth time. The winners will be invited to participate in the LVMH accelerator program ‘La Maison des Start-ups’.

While one start-up is named the winner of the award, an additional award goes to a start-up selected for the most compelling data and artificial intelligence solution.

Selected companies include digital wardrobe platform DressX, streaming technology company SeenThis, alternative fur producer BioFluff and agricultural development company Genesis, among others.

The award ceremony will take place on June 16 as part of the VivaTech event.

Avatar Livi moderates awards ceremony

The participants were introduced by LVMH’s Livi, the “face of innovation” and virtual avatar of the luxury group. The avatar was created by Altava, a 2021 LVMH Innovation Award finalist. Designed to support the Group’s innovations, Livi will host the Innovation Awards live from a virtual home as well as participate in the digital edition of VivaTech.
