Lvmh and Made in Italy, the Masters of Excellence Award is underway

TOThe second edition of the Masters of Excellence Award promoted by Métiers d’Excellence LVMH in collaboration with Loro Piana, Confartigianato Imprese and Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana. An award to highlight the artisanal value of Made in Italy.

The recognition is part of the various initiatives of the LVMH Group dedicated to encouraging the development and safeguarding of Italian savoir-faire, represented in practice by more than 7,000 artisans who operate in the area. Participants, craftsmen and women, will be able to apply starting today, Wednesday 21 February, until Wednesday 15 May on the dedicated website.

Masters of Excellence Award underway

«We are happy to continue this path that began last year – says Alexandre Boquel, director of Métiers d’Excellence LVMH. – With the Masters of Excellence Award we want to give a voice to all those artisans who carry out their craft with passion every dayunique skills that must be protected because unfortunately they are gradually disappearing.”

The awarded categories

As with the first edition, the three categories of the award seek to understand and reward as many types of artisans as possible.

The category Master Craftsman of Excellence is dedicated to expert craftsmen who have distinguished themselves for the quality of their projects. But also for their professional path, for the development strategy and the transmission of savoir-faire linked to Italian tradition and heritage. This award is aimed at professionals and companies with at least 5 years of experience behind them.

Identification Emerging Master Craftsman of Excellence it is instead dedicated to emerging talents engaged in craftsmanship and with a promising project, created at least in the 5 years prior to enrollment.

In the end, Master of Innovation of Excellence is dedicated to companies and professionals who have distinguished themselves for their ability to innovatepreserving historical knowledge and skills and reinterpreting them in a modern way.
