In bankruptcy against Malta
The Bundesliga talents Tiago Pereira Cardoso (17) and David Jonathans (19) from the U19 teams of Borussia Mönchengladbach and Bayern Munich celebrated their debuts in the senior national team in Luxembourg.
In Friday’s friendly against Malta (0-1), goalkeeper Pereira Cardoso came on as a half-time substitute and conceded the only goal in the 64th minute. Attacker Jonathans, on the other hand, was the last of national coach Luc Holtz’s six jokers to come into the game and was on the field for three minutes.
