Luuk Ikink thinks there is little media fuss about Johnny de Mol

Luuk Ikink finds it striking that the media remains relatively quiet after the leak of the fierce report against Johnny de Mol. He himself is quite baffled. “I thought: holy moly.”

Shima Kaes’s violent complaint against her ex-fiancé Johnny de Mol has been leaked via HP/DeTijd. The magazine finds it strange that one after the other celebrities is put on hold, but despite the accusations Johnny still makes a daily talk show on SBS 6. “What explains the difference?”

media storm

One of the reasons, according to HP/DeTijd, is that relatively little was known about the case against Johnny. That is why the magazine published the report yesterday and it does not lie. Nevertheless, the media remained silent for hours after publication and there is still not much fuss, except that the VI stars think that Johnny might better stop with HLF8.

RTL Boulevard star Luuk Ikink was the first Dutch celebrity to speak out and called the report on Twitter ‘astonishing’. “What struck me today: you expect a huge storm of media attention, huh, that everyone dives on top of this, but that didn’t really happen, did you?” he added in his program last night.

holy moly

Strange, Luke thinks. “I do have when you read the article – which you say: it is very detailed – that you think: holy moly, that does not look good for Johnny de Mol, because it is so detailed and evidence is also presented in the form of witnesses, medical records, etc. That doesn’t look good.”

TV expert Rob Goossens: “If you now see her statement in a row, I wonder: the allegations are so serious … Why should we take the accusations of the ladies in, for example, the The Voice scandal seriously and here not?”

What does Hill think?

Crime journalist John van den Heuvel jumped in the gap for the alleged victims in the cases surrounding Ali B, Marco Borsato, The Voice and Glennis Grace, but with Johnny it is very different. According to him, Shima ‘selectively leaks things out, purely to damage them’. She may be very “vengeful,” he suggests.

John assumes that it is Shima who leaked the report (“We’re not completely retarded with each other, I think?”), but according to top lawyer Richard Korver that is too hasty an assumption. He says in Shownieuws that it could also have been people ‘from the police and the Public Prosecution Service’.

Tendentious

Albert Verlinde finds the article from HP/DeTijd suggestive, he responds in Shownieuws. “If you read the article, it also seems that he has thought: how can it be that both Lil Kleine and Glennis Grace and everyone else is up, and Johnny isn’t? That is actually his introduction, which I think is a special introduction, let me put it that way.”

Ronald Molendijk: “Tendentious?”

Albert: “Tendentious, also because of course Johnny has had quite the turn in recent months. It’s really not that no one has confronted him about it.”
