Luuk Ikink thinks that Rachel Hazes has overdone herself with her croquette demand. “You’re not going to file a lawsuit because someone calls you a cremated croquette?! Absurd!”
As if the shortage of judges in our country isn’t already big enough, Rachel Hazes is now keeping one of them busy with the question of whether or not she can be called a ‘cremated croquette’ by Yvonne Coldeweijer. It goes too far, says Luuk Ikink. “You’re not going to file a lawsuit because someone calls you a cremated croquette?! It’s absurd.”
Luke is stunned
Luuk says in his RTL Boulevard program that Rachel is going too far and his colleague Aran Bade fully agrees. “Yes, I agree with you. I actually think it’s ridiculous and I also share Yvonne’s opinion there, who says: ‘I actually think we shouldn’t burden the rule of law with this.’”
Luke is surprised. “What I find so strange: Rachel Hazes is used to gossip media, her whole life, right? That used to be the case, only then it was all in the papers. I mean, what does she care if things are spread that aren’t true? Yes, that’s how it works, doesn’t it?”
Resentful Rachel
Aran thinks that all her resentment may just make Rachel see things clearly. “I really saw a different Rachel today. I walked over to her afterwards and asked if I could speak to her, if necessary without a camera, but she doesn’t want that. I think it’s resentment towards Yvonne. It’s very high on her.”
Luuk thinks that Rachel does not need the judge at all to reply to Yvonne. “Then maybe she should say, ‘I just hate that people say that about me.’ Just say it instead of such a whole circus right away.”
Almost untouchable
Crime journalist John van den Heuvel thinks this is polluting the legal system. “This morning the NRC Handelsblad opened with the shortage of judges in the Netherlands and then you have to start thinking about this…”
Aran: “It feels like Yvonne is almost untouchable, because she wins anyway. Even if she loses this. That’s the funny thing about it, because she got attention again.”
Luuk: “She stands there with bravura, of course, because she won it anyway.”
‘What a display!’
The Shownieuws experts are also more in camp Yvonne. Expert Iris van Lunenburg says: “What a spectacle this is! Isn’t that what case law is for? Shame.”
Sandra Schuurhof: “It was still in the newspaper today that there is a shortage of judges…”
Iris: “Is ‘cremated croquette’ a reason to go to court?”
And Hélène Hendriks in HLF8: “That lawsuit is actually about nothing. That is also what Yvonne Coldeweijer says, but good: Rachel brought it up.”
Table guest Kluun: “It’s not about anything, no.”
