Luuk Ikink wonders whether Chantal Janzen can continue with her pajama show now that last season performed so poorly on RTL 4 Friday. “Do you think there will be a new season?”
When Chantal Janzen goes to work, she always wears pajamas these days. However, the viewer finds it sleep-inducing. She has just finished the second season of the studio show Chantals Pajama Party and at the end she did not even score 600 thousand viewers. It is obvious that Chantal’s TV career needs a new impulse.
Pajama party over?
Luuk Ikink, the presenter of RTL Boulevard, wonders whether Chantal can continue with her pajama show. “Another program that scores moderately is Chantal’s Pajama Party. There are all sorts of big ones props pushed in. Do you think there will be another season?” he asks The BLVD Podcast.
Co-host Rob Goossens wonders. “Yes, I find it difficult. Look, Chantal is important to RTL. And this is really one pet project also for her. She produces it herself. She really likes to make. So then there is a greater chance that the broadcaster will say: ‘Well, go ahead.’”
Not so exciting
RTL 4 will do so reluctantly, thinks Rob. “You can now see that the public doesn’t really find these kinds of large programs very interesting. The Big Show with Ruben Nicolai has also just not done as well as the original in England.”
De Verraders, the successor to Chantal, scored a million viewers last weekend. Nice for RTL. “To wash away the aftertaste of Chantal’s Pajama Party flopping a bit.”
Stupid
Incidentally, it was also about Chantal and her pajama show in the podcast Strictly Private. What does Evert Santegoeds think of that? “Too stupid for words.”
Clearly.
