Luuk Ikink believes in devious theory: ‘PR tactics by Meilandjes’

Luuk Ikink firmly believes in the devious theory about the temporary return of housekeeper Nadège Coffinet in the reality series Chateau Meiland. “Yes, that could actually be possible.”

Nadège Coffinet was the housekeeper in the French chateau van de Meilandjes, but she was really put aside in a very mean way in 2020. The TV family would return to the Netherlands later that year and due to corona there were temporarily no guests at the chateau until their remigration, so her work was no longer really necessary. That still makes sense.

Out abruptly

However, Nadège’s contract ran until the end of August that year and in such a large castle you can always use an extra hand. Yet at the beginning of the summer they really abruptly showed her the door, with the promise to continue paying her until the end of the contract date. In other words: they simply had no interest in that woman anymore.

Nadège felt treated like dirt and that is of course understandable. She is a lonely woman and for the nice effect on television, the Meilandjes really enjoyed her. As a result, she thought she had found a kind of second family. Well, until the camera crew left and they didn’t need her anymore…

Sleaze and dirt

That shameless interaction with Nadège is somewhat exemplary of how the Meilandjes deal with people. Although her farewell did not deserve the beauty prize, she then started to be very dramatic. She should have just deleted that TV family from her ball book immediately, but she really fell into the role of victim.

Nadège then shouted everywhere that she had to take antidepressants through the Meilandjes, although that may have been true. After such a fun period with TV recordings, she was suddenly back in her apartment, somewhere in the eighth floor. And a bitter woman can do a lot of damage; she started shouting that the Meilandjes on television were very bad fake are.

Scandal book

Although Maxime Meiland in particular initially absolutely did not want a TV reunion with Nadège, this has happened in recent weeks on SBS 6. And according to Caroline van Eeden, another former housekeeper of the Meilandjes, it is clear why: they feared that Nadège would come up with a scandal book just like her.

And that theory is very plausible, according to RTL Boulevard stars Luuk Ikink and Rob Goossens. Luuk says very meanly BLVD Podcast: “I’m also tired of that woman, but for quite a long time. I think, why does she keep coming back to that show? I just don’t need that, her.”

Pity

Nobody likes Nadège, according to Rob. “I completely agree with you and I also wonder if there are even people who really like her. I know some people who sympathize with her, because she was out of there very abruptly, of course. But I have not been able to discover anything more positive than pity in anyone.”

According to him, it is indeed just a PR tactic by the Meilandjes. “Of course we have the old house friend who has come up with a scandalous book and I get the feeling that they want to keep Nadège a little close to them to prevent her from writing such a book.”

Scandal book

You also see that the Meilandjes are not enjoying themselves at all with Nadège, according to Rob. “So you see Martien all the time being stunned: okay, we have to get through this, because if she liked this, she won’t write a scandal book for another two years.”

Luuk agrees with that theory: “Yes, that could be the case, that they think: we should keep our people close to us.”

Rob: “Yes, because for the rest… It may sound unkind, because it is also unkind: I don’t think Nadège is a woman with whom I would want to spend even a minute of my life.”
