Lululemon aims to double annual sales by 2026

The Canadian sportswear supplier Lululemon Athletica Inc. presented new growth plans for the next five years at its analysts’ day on Wednesday. The declared goal is therefore to increase annual sales to 12.5 billion US dollars (11.5 billion euros) by 2026. That would practically double the most recent 2021-22 fiscal year, when revenue was $6.26 billion.

Growth in the core segments, newly developed products and further geographical expansion should contribute to the strong increase. Specifically, Lululemon wants to double sales in menswear and e-commerce by 2026. Revenues from international business are even expected to be four times as high as in the past financial year. In the women’s clothing category as well as in the stationary stores and in the US business, average sales improvements of “a low double-digit percentage” per year are targeted.

Overall, annual sales are expected to increase by an average of 15 percent over the next five years. At the same time, the company also wants to increase its profitability: Lululemon is aiming for a higher growth rate for earnings per share than for sales.
