President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko will hold a meeting with the military at the Palace of Independence, informs Telegram channel “Pool of the First”, close to the press service of the Belarusian president. The channel posted a message at 9:43 Moscow time, indicating that the meeting will begin in an hour.

Lukashenka earlier in the morning on February 24 phoned with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Russian president informed Lukashenka about what is happening in the Donbass and on the border with Ukraine, the press service of the Belarusian president said.

On the night of February 24, Russia launched a military operation in Ukraine. Putin explained such measures as protecting the inhabitants of Donbass from “bullying and genocide” by the Ukrainian authorities. He called on the Ukrainian military to disobey “criminal orders” and return home.
