Lukas Tulovic feels “no pressure” before the start of the World Cup

Lukas Tulovic believes it is a privilege to be part of the field of riders in the motorcycle world championship.

“It’s not pressure. Of course there is, but you have to accept it and not see it as a problem. I drive for a top team and only very few people can achieve that,” said the only German World Cup driver to the Deutsche Presse- Agency. On Sunday, Tulovic and his competitors in the Moto2 class will start the new season in Portimao, Portugal.

Thanks to a strict nutrition plan and hard training over the winter months, the 22-year-old from Eberbach sees himself well positioned. “I’m confident in my abilities and have become very self-confident over the past few years,” he said. “We’ll start the season well. We’ll see whether it’ll be enough for the top ten. But we’ll do it in the course of the first races.”

Tulovic succeeded his compatriot Marcel Schrötter at the German Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP team. Last season he celebrated the title in the Moto2 European Championship. In 2019 he collected three points in his first year at the World Cup.
