Glamor for charity
The first winter edition of the gala organized by the Florentine luxury fashion online retailer – the last one in Capri, at the end of July 2021 – was animated by a cocktail, a gala dinner and a live auction conducted by Michael Macaulay by Sotheby’s. A glamorous appointment during which luxury objects, works of art and exclusive experiences have been beaten.
Celebrities, philanthropists, and international guests gathered to reap as well 4 million euros to support UNICEF’s commitment to providing care and protection to vulnerable children around the world, adding to the approximately 13 harvests to date. Among the most surprising lots: Douglas Kirkland’s 1971 photo of Marylin Monroe between the sheets, Elvis Presley’s Harley Davidson and an original painting from the series Mona Lisa signed by the artist Domingo Zapata.
Dua Lipa, sparkling in fluorescent green
Present not only the top management of LuisaViaRoma, the presenter and president Luisa Panconesi at the Unicef global philantrophy Kieran O’Brien, up to the fundraising chairman of Unicef Italia Tommaso Chiabra and to Charles Rosier, co-founder and CEO of the cosmetic brand Augustinus Bader, partner of the event, but also a series of exceptional stars. Captained by Dua Lipa: the singer appeared on the red carpet in a Caribbean green cut-out dress from the collection Spring Summer 2022 from Stella McCartney, before performing on stage in bustier and trousers of the same shade, inflaming the audience to the notes of his successes.
Metal and cut-out for the last gala before New Year’s Eve
And if Leonardo DiCaprio and Camilla Morrone avoided the spotlight, on the contrary, to get noticed, it was the supermodels like Izabel Goulart, in a long sequin dress with signature cuts on the bust David Koma. But also Dylan Penn, 30, daughter of Sean and Robin Wright, in a shiny black-on-black fishnet top and skirt.
A riot of transparencies and sparkles, for the last gala before New Year’s Eve: among the Italian guests, Remo Ruffini, Fiammetta Cicogna, Leonardo Del Vecchio, son of the president of Luxottica, with his wife Anna Castellini Del Vecchio and the actress Sveva Alviti (in a designer metallic dress Givenchy).
