Ludwigsburg ousted FC Bayern

The MHP giants Ludwigsburg have won the chasing duel with ratiopharm Ulm and have moved up to second place in the Bundesliga table for the time being.

Coach John Patrick’s team defeated Ulm 74:61 (33:27) and now has a record of 20:8 wins. FC Bayern Munich (19:7) can overtake again with a win in Gießen. Ulm (18:8) remains fourth. Justin Simon scored best for Ludwigsburg with 19 points.

The Hakro Merlins Crailsheim (13:13) is still hoping for the playoff participation in ninth place. Thanks to a strong second half, the hosts won against the MLP Academics Heidelberg 87:72 (34:42). Jaren Lewis convinced at Crailsheim with 30 points.

s.Oliver Würzburg (11:17) and EWE Baskets Oldenburg (11:18) made a big step towards staying up. Würzburg won 83:77 (42:50) at medi Bayreuth, while Oldenburg won the Lower Saxony duel with the Löwen Braunschweig 90:76 (46:44). Both clubs have four more successes than Giessen in 17th place.
