Lucille Werner returning to Lingo after leaving politics? ‘Yes!’

Lucille Werner has decided to leave the House of Representatives again after a short political adventure. Will she return to the TV studio? If it were up to the chairman of the Lingo jury, yes…

One day, many decades from now, Lingo will probably be the first to be mentioned in Lucille Werner’s obituary. Unfortunately, her political career at the CDA made little impression. She has therefore not achieved much as a Member of Parliament. Should she just return to the word game? And drive Jan Versteegh out of the studio?

Back to Lingo?

Jan Pieter Pellemans, who has worked with Lucille for years as jury chairman of Lingo, certainly welcomes her return to Hilversum. “I would really welcome it if she started presenting again, because I still think she is one of the best in the Netherlands,” he says in the New Revu.

He continues: “Lucille is incredibly quick-witted, can deal with everyone – from top to bottom – and has the skills to present a quiz in a funny way. You have very few of those in our country.”

Lucille’s breasts

In any case, radio DJ Jan Paparazzi, Robert Jensen’s former sidekick, thinks Lucille would suit Lingo better than in the House of Representatives. “I was once a candidate in Lingo together with Robert Jensen. We promised to come if she showed her breasts on the air and she did,” he says.

He continues: “I thought it was strange that she went into politics move. I think she has much more to contribute outside The Hague.”

Glass of beer

No, according to Jan, that woman is not at all suitable for the profession of politician. He also seems to think she is too light for that. “When I think of Lucille, I picture someone who can drink a glass of beer at the speed of light.”

He concludes: “Not normal. While I still had to start, she had already clocked it: bam, so backwards.’
