A festive table was normally waiting for new parents Bjarne Noyez (21) and Chloë Verfaillie (23) on December 31. But the evening took a different turn and the couple left for the hospital when contractions suddenly started.
“Chloë was due on the last day of the year, so we knew this could happen,” says Bjarne. “We are very happy with the expansion of the family. It’s nice that Luca was born on the first day of the new year, but it would have been just as fantastic for us if it had happened on any other date, although we will cherish that special date forever.”
Luca is the second child of the family. Later that day, two more children were born in the same hospital and in the Sint-Andries Hospital in Tielt. One child was born at AZ Delta in Roeselare.
