Dalmonte can fight relegation
“In Luca we are gaining a coach who has a clear idea of playing basketball,” praised Skyliners Managing Director Yannick Binas. “He’s very experienced and he showed in Bologna in a situation similar to ours that he can quickly make his mark on teams and get important wins.”
Dalmonte took over Bologna last season with a record of one win and eight defeats. At the end of the season, the northern Italians held the class with nine wins and ten losses.
Premiere on Friday against Ulm
The new head coach arrived in Frankfurt on Tuesday and will be on the bench for the first time in the home game against Ulm on Friday (7:30 p.m.). Interim coach Klaus Perwas, who looked after the Skyliners in their victory in Braunschweigwill assist Dalmonte as assistant coach.
The newcomer would like to exchange ideas intensively with Perwas and the players in the coming days in order to then find a suitable system for the Skyliners. He can already say about it: “One principle of my work is that there is no egoism and the focus is on ‘we’.”
