There is now good news for those looking for a low-fat oat drink.

Oatly is launching a new product line that serves oat drinks with different fat contents. The fat content breakdown of the new products is familiar from cow’s milk and follows it almost identically: oat drinks will be sold with fat contents of 0.5 percent, 1.5 percent and 2.8 percent.
A light version of the oat drink with fewer kilocalories has not been seen on store shelves before. Depending on the brand, the fat content of so-called ordinary oat drinks usually varies between 1 and 1.5 percent. In addition, there are also several fattier options for oat drinks, for example intended for coffee.
– We hope that this product line will inspire more and more people around Finland to try plant-based foods and drinks, says Oatly’s sales director responsible for the Finnish market Niina Kahra in the bulletin.

In addition to oat drinks, Finns are increasingly interested in other oat-based products, and their selections are expanding in stores all the time. According to a survey conducted by Fazer in December, 88 percent of Finns use or have once used plant-based products.
Last fall, Fazer launched a new type of oat yogurt in the Fazer Aito product family, which can be used like yogurt.
