THEL wanderlust is a dream shared by many, but which is often considered difficult to achieve unless one is available very high budget to spend. This is not always the case, however: there are destinations in the world that offer incredible experiences even at much cheaper prices.
Low cost travel 2023: ten destinations to spend little
A ranking of accessible trips that don’t empty your wallet has been drawn up by the Kiplinger magazine taking as parameters the average daily cost of the stay, including accommodation, meals and the general cost of living. And, in fact, there are some places on the list where you can spend money even just 7 euros a day to stay there and even just 4 euros for meals.
The most expensive, so to speak, Greece
From the analysis carried out it emerges that between the cheapest 2023 tourist destinations are Greece where the cost of daily living is 119 euros. However, the country of the Parthenon is in tenth place in the ranking, because of the places chosen it is still the most expensive. In detail, an average of 85 euros is spent for stays, or accommodation, while 31 euros for daily meals.
Ninth and eighth place for Portugal and the Dominican Republic
To the ninth place is Portugal with its Algarve beaches and its very rich culture: here the cost of living per day is 105 euros: 68 euros for accommodation and 31 euros for meals per day. It follows in eighth place the Dominican Republic where to live costs an average of 100 euros a day: 64 euros for accommodation and 27 euros on average for meals.
With Mexico we climb to seventh place
In seventh position there is Mexico where the daily cost of living is 85 euros: 48 euros for lodging and 18 euros for daily meals, while Costa Rica is in sixth position. Living here costs 74 euros a day: for lodging on average they spend 37 euros and 16 euros for daily meals.
Fifth and fourth Hungary and Thailand
To the fifth place of the ranking of the best cheapest tourist destinations 2023, there is Hungary. The daily cost of living is 64 euros: 30 euros for accommodation and 15 euros for meals. It follows in fourth position Thailand with an average cost of 47 euros, the average accommodation costs 19 euros and the meal 13 euros.
On the podium of low cost travel…
On the podium they position themselves Indonesia thirdwith a daily cost of living of 43 euros: exactly 32 euros for accommodation and 10 euros for daily meals. Turkey second where the average daily cost of living is 21 euros: 12 euros for accommodation and 6 euros for meals and, absolute peak, Laos where the average daily cost of living is 14 euros: 7 euros for accommodation and 4 euros for daily meals.
