At the end of 2021, Mendes and Cabello separated after a three-year relationship. It is not known whether the two are actually back together. Mendes and Cabello started dating in July 2019 after recording their hit single Señorita. ,,We have known each other since 2015 and there was always ‘something’ between us, but we were just very young at the time. When we worked together again a few years later, that feeling came back,” Camila said in an earlier interview.
Especially Mendes (24), known for hits like Stitches and It’ll Be Okay, sometimes said candidly that he had a very difficult time with the break with 26-year-old Cabello. When he was asked in an interview in April if he could still ‘keep it up’, he replied: ,,No, I can’t do that right now.’
