Dalva is 12 years old, but dresses and makes up as if she were 30. The debut presented at the last Semaine de la critique in Cannes lets us enter his world amidst screams and clamors: the father is arrested and the little girl, convinced that she is deeply in love with him because the two of them “do nothing wrong” together, feels that she will not be able to live without him.
With the entry of Dalva in a community of minors where, disoriented, she will learn to defend herself from attacks and insinuations, to giving up the role of the seductress and experiencing the intensity of an equal friendship relationship, her journey of emancipation begins which the director tackles without shortcuts and complacency.
And seeing little Zelda Samson, who gradually returns from Lolita as a teenager, is a real marvel.
