Louis Vuitton brings culinary colleagues to Saint Tropez

Shift change in the Louis Vuitton kitchen.

Star chef Mory Sacko hands over the management of his kitchen at the Hotel White in Saint-Tropez to Arnaud Donckele and Maxime Frédéric in 1921. Donckele, who also has a Michelin star, and pastry chef Frédéric, manager of the Louis Vuitton café and chocolate shop of the “LV Dream” exhibition, will be cooking at the Louis Vuitton-run restaurant throughout the summer.

“Like the artisans who demonstrate their skills in the House’s workshops, these two gentlemen are dedicated to craftsmanship, both in the kitchen and in the dining room,” Louis Vuitton said in a statement on Monday.

The two chefs are not only culinary colleagues, but also friends whose roots lie in Normandy. In the restaurant in Saint Tropez, the restaurateurs invite you on a culinary journey with seasonal ingredients and Mediterranean flavors, according to the French luxury fashion house.

Guests of the French coastal city can visit the restaurant in the afternoon for a Louis Vuitton monogrammed snack, or dine in the evening inspired by the Maison’s travel spirit. The ambience of the restaurant was also designed by the luxury brand to match the culinary offer. The décor harks back to the house’s ‘By The Pool’ resort collection and features the LV monogram adorning upholstery, tiles and china.
