Louis van Gaal gives the men of Today Inside a significant dip in viewership. The two-part documentary about the successful football coach scores much better than the men of VI.
The documentary about Louis van Gaal, which is broadcast on television in two parts, attracted no less than 1.2 million viewers (26 percent market share) to NPO 1. This made the successful football coach the big winner in prime time: no other TV. broadcast attracted more viewers.
Louis scores
In fact, Louis makes it quite difficult for the competition. The men of Today Inside, who make fun of Louis every now and then, also score less because of his top score. That talk show scored yesterday with 640 thousand viewers (14 percent) in the lower regions of the top 15 viewership.
Viewing figures expert Tina Nijkamp explains: “At 9.30 pm Today Inside seems to be suffering from Louis van Gaal’s mega score. 640 thousand viewers is a lot less than last Thursday and also last Monday and Tuesday. The program also scores older than normal in the target group 20 to 54 years: only 10.1 percent.”
Viewing figure king
Louis does well in that commercial target group. “The documentary about Louis van Gaal is the most watched non-news program and that makes him the ratings king for one day. Also in target group a wonderful 18.2 percent, very high for NPO1.”
It is a great achievement for Louis, according to Tina. “The 71-year-old Louis van Gaal scores very well in the younger target group, just like the 73-year-old Johan Derksen.”
Koningsbrugge
The silver in prime time goes to Kamp van Koningsbrugge, which attracted 1.1 million viewers (21 percent) on NPO 1. The bronze goes to the RTL 4 show Secret Duets, good for 798 thousand viewers (16 percent).
Furthermore, no prime-time title scored enough viewers for a place in the top 15. SBS 6 with Het Roer Om snagged at 569 thousand viewers (11 percent).
