Loud beats Fnatic in the quarterfinals of the Valorant World Championship

Defending champion Loud has won the giant duel at the Valorant World Championship called Champions. The Brazilian eSports team beat Fnatic 2-0 (13-11, 13-6).

“Being the underdogs took a lot of the pressure off our shoulders,” Louds Felipe “Less” Basso said after the match on the tournament’s live stream. “Our team is very strong and we are very happy with the result.”

While Loud meets Paper Rex after their success in the upper bracket semifinals, the defeat is a major setback for Fnatic.

While the team traveled to Los Angeles for the World Cup as the top favorites, they now have their backs to the wall. Although the roster of the British e-sports organization still has a chance of winning the title via the lower bracket, the World Cup would be over with the next loss.

In the first lower bracket game on Friday, FUT Esports is a competitor from the domestic EMEA region waiting for Fnatic. The Turkish e-athletes also had to go to the lower bracket after their 0-2 defeat against Paper Rex.
