Beloved duo Lotta and Grandpa arrived at the Tubecon Awards Gala on Friday, May 13th. The duo posed on the red carpet and stopped to tell their news to Iltalehti.
Lotta lived Lotta Saahko moved to Papa from London in March 2020 at the very beginning of the corona pandemic. Now Lotta has started to miss back to London for her own life, culture and friends.
Papa was diagnosed with a memory condition last August, so Papa was given a family caregiver in the spring because of Lota’s plans. However, the caregiver had to quit with the sote reform, as Pappa was found to be too well-off in light of the current criteria.

Lotta is not happy with the decision, as Dad’s condition is unpredictable.
– After all, a memory disorder is such that it goes uphill and downhill. There is such an uphill going on right now. Probably spring will bring it with it. You can do yard work again, so it brings a good feeling, Lotta says.
– I walk on my own feet and stuff like that, Pappa smiles.
Lotta has not wanted to leave the priest alone, but is now again working as the father’s relative. Lotta lives upstairs in Papa’s detached house and Pappa downstairs.
Although Lotta desperately wants to go to London, she doesn’t plan to move back to England permanently yet. She believes she will travel more actively between the two countries if a caregiver is arranged for the papa or follows during the trips.
– Black feels that we were first needed because of the corona and now there are new problems in the world that people need to cheer up. Such as the situation in Ukraine. I think we are still needed, Lotta and Pappa nod.
