Lots of rain and strong gusts of wind: KNMI issues code yellow

It’s going to rain and blow hard again today. The KNMI warns with code yellow between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. for strong gusts of wind, which can reach up to 90 kilometers per hour on the coast.

If you want to take an autumnal walk in the woods today, it might be better to postpone it.

On the coast these wind gusts can reach up to 90 kilometers per hour, in other places in the province up to 80 kilometers per hour. The KNMI expects the wind to be strong, especially at the end of the afternoon.

Much wind

The rain and wind may be accompanied by thunder on the coast. The wind is turning from the south to the southwest and blowing on the coast with wind force 5 to 6, later today it will blow harder with wind force 7. According to the KNMI, it will be stormy on the Wadden for some time tonight with wind force 8 with occasional still strong gusts of wind. It will be about 13 degrees today.

It will continue to rain on the coast tonight and will continue to do so tomorrow morning. There may be thunderstorms again. Tomorrow it will be slightly colder than today at 11 degrees.
