Nevertheless, the German record champions would still need a central striker if Lewandowski were to change, said Matthäus. He also made a suggestion. This “could be Sasa Kalajdzic from VfB Stuttgart. He probably won’t score 40 goals, but he will definitely score 25”.
If Mané were signed, Bayern would also have an oversupply of wingers. With Serge Gnabry, Leroy Sané and Kingsley Coman there would be too many offensive wingers in the team. “With Serge Gnabry it smells at least somewhat like farewell,” speculated Matthäus.
