Free transfer professionals
From an international perspective, Paul Pogba (29), Paulo Dybala (28) and Ousmane Dembélé (25) are currently some heavyweights without a club (to the news). Their contracts expired on June 30th, so they can move for free. From a German point of view, too, some professionals with a lot of experience in the Bundesliga, 2nd Bundesliga and Co. are on the market for free – even if they don’t penetrate the market value realm of the stars mentioned.
Karius, Oczipka & Co.: The most valuable German professionals without a club
A total of four German players who are currently looking for a club have a market value of at least one million: Jannes Horn (25), most recently with 1.FC Köln, Loris Karius (29) after his contract with Liverpool FC, who also Lukas Rupp (31), ex-Hertha player Lukas Klünter (26) and former Gladbacher Keanan Bennetts (23) were recently active in England (Norwich).
In addition to Karius, the biggest names have professionals who, mainly because of their age, have already fallen below the million mark in terms of market value, such as ex-national player Gonzalo Castro (35), whose contract with Arminia Bielefeld was not extended after relegation, or the longtime Stuttgarter Daniel Didavi (32).
