Antoinnette Scheulderman, star interviewer and Rob Kemps whisperer, ate a stuffed ‘turkey’ from De Vegetarische Slager for Christmas and she is very enthusiastic about it. The journalist shares her joy about this vegetarian product, of which only a few dozen have been released, in one tweet which has already been viewed more than 150 thousand times.

No animal suffering

It was just wonderful, says Antoinette. “Can I already order the stuffed ‘turkey’ again for next Christmas? Was even tastier than hoped, pure comfort food – also found the meat eaters at the table. And for the responders who are now shouting ‘and what’s in that!?!’: in any case 0% animal suffering!”

It is noticeable that Antoinnette receives a lot of negative reactions to her tweet, especially from people who like to eat meat. “0% animal suffering? Slaughter is not animal suffering,” says a certain John, for example. And Monique: “And why does it have to be called turkey and give you the illusion that you are eating meat?”

What does Loretta say?

A-star Loretta Schrijver also responds to Antoinnette. “And so it is! No animal suffering. Our climate activists sometimes forget that when they say they are giving up meat. Because of the climate. Because of their own self-interest…,” she writes X.

Well, that’s a spicy joke from Loretta. According to the Coffee Time celebrity, the first reason not to eat meat should be that it prevents animal suffering. And not the climate…

Little impact

Loretta does not have much impact with her tweet, because it has not yet been viewed 200 times. It is the first time in eight months that she has posted a message on X. The last time was in April, about some petition. She also cheered about a speech by Party for the Animals Ms Esther Ouwehand.

The vegetarian stuffed turkey cost 17.95 euros.
