Loretta Schrijver is very pleased that Renze Klamer was put in his place when he talked about her program Koffietijd in his talk show with dedain. “I really liked that.”
Everyone may of course think that Koffietijd is a silly program, but is it really your place to say that if you yourself make a program full of infantile acts such as Siegfried & Joy and Bulletje? Renze Klamer himself apparently thinks so. “Coffee time is actually unparalleled in its cozy simplicity,” he said in his talk show in January.
Incredibly pointless
When Renze was asked to repeat what he said, he persisted: “Incredibly pointless really. Silly indeed. That’s actually what it is.”
Table guest Sanne Wallis de Vries immediately put him in his place. “Why are you looking for this [fragment] out? Because you think this is stupid or something? (…) You just said ‘silly’ and I find that so negative.”
It resulted in uncomfortable television, but Koffietijd diva Loretta Schrijver sat contentedly on the couch at home.
Loretta happy with Sanne
Loretta is very happy with the way Sanne reacted then, she says in the Nouveau. “I thought it was great that Sanne Wallis de Vries opposed that.”
She is not angry with Renze, by the way. “I’ve gotten used to the fact that people like to be a little scornful about it. And that jokes of mine, which I make very consciously, come across as bloopers in other programs. So that the viewer at home can say: ‘Oh, how silly that Loretta is.’ Well.”
Once with Angela
Loretta probably agrees with Angela de Jong’s opinion about Renze. She previously indicated that she had ‘only deep pity’ for the presenter: “Renze Klamer, once a journalistic talent at the NPO, has sunk very low.”
Does Loretta feel the same way? That’s not clear, but, so she says in a double interview with Angela: “In the end, I almost always agree with you.”
