Loretta Schrijver has revealed that years ago she once sent an angry e-mail to Matthijs van Nieuwkerk and his then horror assistant Dieuwke Wynia. The Coffee Time diva was then often a direct object in the section with funny films in De Wereld Draait Door. She was often edited as a bumbling woman.
Dumb and silly
It hurt Loretta a lot because she felt embarrassed. But according to Marc-Marie Huijbregts, who was Matthijs’ table host for years, she has to put things into perspective a bit. “I actually don’t know at all about which video that is exactly,” he responds in his podcast.
Doesn’t Marc-Marie find it annoying that Loretta felt embarrassed? “I think everyone has a lot of sympathy for her and she understands where that comes from. No one thinks she is stupid and silly in my opinion, not even because of those videos.”
Bit airy
According to him, Loretta exaggerates all this a bit. “I always think it’s good to be a little light-hearted about it myself. I also understand that it can be very difficult and then she should not do it, but it is never meant to be bad.”
The squeaky comedian emphasizes that he has nothing against Loretta. “I’ve met her a few times, but not very often, but when I meet her, I really like her.”
Hot-tempered
Incidentally, Marc-Marie is not surprised that Loretta revealed in the same interview that she can get angry sometimes. “Well, I know one story,” he begins.
Which story? “Then she was with Jeroen Pauw and they were just in front of the news, but then she had walked into the parking lot angrily. Then someone had to go after her to call her back, because the news would start and she had to present it then.”
Marc-Marie thinks that hot temper doesn’t really suit Loretta. “No,” he says firmly.
‘Pretty sad’
What does juice queen Yvonne Coldeweijer think of this issue? “Aww actually pretty sad,” she writes on her juice channel. “She didn’t come across as bright in those films back then, indeed. But don’t know if that was just cutting, Loret 😂.”
