CThere are paintings, drawings, sketches, posters and short films among the 250 works in Lorenzo Mattotti. Stories, rhythms, movements they tell the experience of the brilliant artist from Brescia, from his underground debut to his work for newspapers such as New Yorker And Le Monde, to comics and animated films.
An anthology that chooses to identify Mattotti’s work through the categories anticipated in the title: the cinema (stories), music (rhythms), dance (movements).
In the three sections the many alternate posters with “vibrant colors” for cinema, for the Venice Film Festival and the Annecy Animation Festival, the inks and acrylics dedicated to dance, including a triptych created for this exhibition inspired by collective dance. Finally, the preparatory drawings for the animated film The famous bear invasion in Sicily from Buzzati’s book.

The world to come
Six contemporary artists – Sophia Al Maria, Mo Kong, the Sitesize collective, Jonas Staal, Natália Trejbalová and Driant Zeneli – were invited to reflect with as many works on the present and the problematic future of our planet.

The six installation-works with videos and moving images proposed by were born between art, ecology and sustainability Tomorrows – Notes on the future of the Earth. The event, as part of Art&TheCity of ArtVerona 2023, also includes a rich multidisciplinary program and a prize for residency and production of works that will be presented in the 2024 edition of the event.

Great anticipation for Bologna Jazz Festival 2023whose program features the musical presence of Hiromi, Samara Joy, Ron Carter, Bill Frisell, Steve Coleman.
With around fifty concerts and numerous extra activities (education, exhibitions, meetings with artists, conferences), from 3 to 27 November the BJF will expand from the Emilian capital reaching the municipalities of the metropolitan area and the provinces of Ferrara, Forlì and Modena.

Civil commitment and the interdisciplinary nature of jazz are brought together in the project Woman, life, freedoman exhibition with the official illustrations of Bologna Jazz Festival 2023, with the works of four extraordinary Iranian artists active internationally and residing in Bologna, London, Los Angeles and New York: Atieh Sohrabi, Hanieh Ghashghaei, Nazli Tahvili and Roshi Rouzbehani.
Their works will be exhibited in the Sala Borsa from 3 to 26 November, as well as on the walls of the city.
The protagonist of the first of the great live shows in the theater on November 7th will be Hiromi Ueharathe Japanese pianist who has become a global phenomenon thanks to her technique that goes beyond the limits of what is humanly executable.
Ron Carterone of the greatest double bass players in the history of modern jazz will perform on November 12th at the Teatro Auditorium Manzoni in Bologna.

Contemporary art
The contemporary American artist Ferrari Sheppard he exhibits 18 of his works (most of which are unpublished) and a video in the exhibition for the first time in Italy Crucible and edited by Ludovico Pratesi.
Blurring the lines between abstraction and figuration, the artist creates medium to large paintings that they celebrate the humanity of Black people in the Americas and the diaspora.

Nomadic Museum
The Merz Foundation presents the new exhibition project Through the Palestinian Museum of Natural History and Humankindof the artist Khalil Rabah.
The exhibition was born as an extension of Palestinian Museum of Natural History and Humankind (PMNHHk), art project developed as a nomadic museum institution which the artist inaugurated in 2003.

The visitor is invited to immerse himself in a historical tale told through testimonies and clues. Khalil Rabah’s artistic practice ranges between painting, sculpture and installation to build alucid and careful analysis of history and its interpretationsquestioning their narrative methods and the perception they generate.
Fundamental themes such as change, memory and identity they intersect in his works, creating new ways of representing communities and the relationships that compose them.
